I cried in recognition, then read your piece again, and then a third time. Thank you, thank you, thank you for sharing with us. See you hear you feel you dharma friend; see us hear us feel us dharma friend. Love.
I have found comfort in hearing people express the anxiety and distress they are feeling these days—a steady reminder that we are all carrying a lot and witnessing such violence is a heavy psychic burden. Self care as community care, community care as self care.
Well said my friend. Same same, if I can co-sign onto all these sentiments I would. It's a wonder we're ever regulated with so much going on. All the breathing, meditating, chanting etc... coming back into the present moment, it works... sometimes. Anxiety is the habitual habit of worrying about the future. I'm learning to turn towards that suffering in my body whenever possible and asking it what it might be worried about. I credit Interrelational focusing (check out Ann Weiser Cornell for more info- https://focusingresources.com/) helping me with this and also practicing dropping thinking when I can remember to do this and using whatever I can to come back into the here and now with my senses. It's a practice this human living thing. Love you dear dharma sibi. <3

So timely and powerful and the perfect container to hold the wreck that being human can sometimes be. Thank you!! 💖
And this is why I love being your mum.
